UTMB vs McGovern Medical School

Hey everyone! Im more than ecstatic to have prematched at these two awesome schools! I want to hear the opinions of others on the pros and cons of both schools. Personally, I am leaning toward McGovern because of the Texas Med Center and Houston > Galveston (in my opinion). What does everyone else think?

Congrats on the options! Any other pros and cons? Family nearby? COA differential? Interested in a certain specialty?

I hope to go into ortho and mcgovern seems to have a higher match rate for that. I have more social support in Houston, but Htown and Galveston are so close together that it doesn't really matter. I am drawn to the preclinical P/F curriculum at UTMB, but wouldn't mind not having it at Mcgovern either. Since step 1 is now P/F, I think that the UTMB curriculum isn't as effective since the test isn't as important anymore.
