i just got the weirdest e-mail from UVM after i called to check on my status. i interviewed in february and they told me today that i wont be reviewed until April. Not sure what this means since I know there was a March review. Any idea what this means?

Last year I read on their website that their committee only meets like four times during the year- early october (for ED), november, mid-february, and april (late-ish, I think). I'd provide a link, but I haven't been able to find the page since- they may have taken it down / edited it. But, from dealing with applying / interviewing two years in a row myself, and everything I've read on here, it sounds like it was pretty accurate. So, I guess if you interviewed in February after the committee met, then it makes sense the next time you could be reviewed would be April.

And don't feel too bad, I interviewed in November, still haven't heard anything, and I've all but given up hope. (See sig. below. 😡 )

I interviewed February 21 and we were told we wouldn't hear til the first week in May with the decisions made at the end of April. The lady who did our intro basically flat out said most people get waitlisted at the beginning of the day so I am not holding out too much hope but absolutely loved UVM. Good luck!

yikes! what do you mean most people get waitlisted. that doesn't sound too promising.
The thing is that I interviewed on Feb 9th - before the committee met in February. They told us that we should hear by mid-march. Since i haven't heard anything I called and left a message - and then i got an e-mail today saying ...

"review of your file has taken a little longer than planned, and will be completed in our April review. This will not negatively affect your chances of acceptance."

I think this will negatively affect my sanity.

It seemed like she was kind of saying, at this point most people are going to be waitlisted...kinda like well its late in the year so waitlist is likely. She said their class wasn't full yet but I believe she worded it as they only had a few spots open so who knows. They told us there were only a few more interview days left for the year so keeping my fingers crossed! The long wait though really sucks.

I remember the same thing. They said we'd be reviewed Feb 16th, and then I emailed and was told that now I was being reviewed in April.

last year, they took only a few people from the top 1/3 tier of the waitlist
