Explanation for UWorld Question ID 11633 says coccidioides is dimorphic. This contradicts my current understanding that it's not dimorphic (an exception to the rule that systemic mycoses are dimorphic). I checked the updated FA 2019 but it also says coccidioides is not dimorphic.

Anyone know if this is just a mistake in UW or is there something else to it?

I believe it's still dimorphic, but just spherule of endospores in the heat, not yeast.

Just checked UpToDate and yes, UW is correct, it's dimorphic. When in doubt - don't trust FA - it's a for profit book that sells on amazon, put together by bunch of people like you and me. Similar level as Wikipedia basically. Just saying
