Vanderbilt Secondary: Autobiography

For those who have completed Vandy's secondary, how did you approach the autobiography? Is it okay to take a somwhat creative approach? I don't want to simply do a recount of my life's events, because that is boring. However, I don't know if it's all right to be creative. What kinds of things did you focus on? Also, was yours close to the 2000 word limit (because that seems so long!)?

Any help/advice is much appreciated.
