Anyone care to give some advice about what to write? I wanted to do a "why i admire my former boss"-essay. would this be wise? i think said they wanted an essay that tells them more "about us". would this be okay?

thanks

I don't know how it's possible to make an instruction any more clear than "write about anything."

Anything you write is an appropriate response.

Take the opportunity and be bold. Write about the ethics of sphincter bleaching, or about common-day themes seen in porn and their psychosocial impact.

In The Terminator, John Connor gives a speech in the future. A soldier that hears the speech is sent back in time to protect Sarah Conner, John's mom, from the T-100. The soldier subsequently (or previously, depending on whether you are thinking chronologically by time or movie time) tells Sarah the speech. As a child, Sarah tells the speech to John, who then grows up to give it in the future.

So, WHO WROTE THE SPEECH?!?!

That's what I'd write about anyways :)

John Connor wrote the speech.

The first cycle (i.e. prior to the time travel) would never occur if John Connor did not write and deliver the speech. The fact that the time travel occurred confirms the fact that John Connor wrote and delivered the speech in the first place.

I understand your point, i.e., the soldier wrote the speech by going back and relaying it to John's mother and then down to John. However, he would have never gone back in the first place if the speech wasn't already written by John. So it becomes clear that John came up with the speech at some point in his life before the time-travel event - and then he was told about the speech that HE came up with by his mother later on (or rather, earlier on if you consider time something you can jump backwards into).

This is a pretty clear and uninteresting scenario. I think the anus bleaching would be a far better read.

Only on SDN could assassin robots that time travel be uninteresting compared to anus bleaching ;)

I wrote about a pediatric autopsy I attended.

Good times.

For Case's similar essay, I wrote about the World Cup. Got an interview.

how long did the screening process take? I received an email today saying that they will screen my primary...

I think its wise to write about something both interesting and about you. Maybe talking about your former boss would be ok if you spent most of the time talking about how they helped influence who you are today. (I wrote about my love for basketball. It was fun to write!)

A little under two weeks for me, I think. Good luck! :)

Maybe they're going to wait until your MCAT comes in.

Not true, I received the secondary without an MCAT score (I'm an August MCATer) and I'm sure others did too. I don't want to worry you or anything though..hope this helps

This reminds me of SNL's Celebrity Jeapordy with Will Ferrell.

You know that game "operator" where a line of people have to whisper a message to each other? The message usually winds up being corrupted at the end.

Can you imagine the mutations that must occur with John Conner's speech?

OK, French Stewart, grinning like an idiot, you seem pretty sure of yourself. And your answer is THREEVE. A combination of Three and Five. Simply Stunning. And your wager.... TEXAS with a dollar sign. I'm speechless.

Screening of the pirmary should take from 1-4 weeks depending on how late in the process you are. The later the longer you have to wait.

You seriously can write about anything provided it's interesting and doesn't come off like you are putting down exactly what they want to hear.

Oh and i wrote about how if every doctor in Va would take in 3 uninsured patients a week, everyone in Va w/o health insurance could at least have baseline level of health care.
