I am planning on taking the mcat on the 28th, i have been doing pretty well on the aamc verbals (11-12) but i feel i can do better. I have both the ek 101 book and the kaplan verbal reasoning strategy and practice book. i am hoping to a verbal section a day giving me about 10. due to time limitations i cant go through most books. which one should i use, the ek or the kaplan.

also after taking a verbal how do you go about analyzing it; once i know the right answer it seems obvious. i dont really know how to analyze and review the tests after i have taken them, what should i do?

Use EK. You analyze by going to the back of the book and seeing their rationale for why your answer was wrong and another was right. Then you try to incorporate that knowledge into your thinking on the next practice test you do.
