Main thing that helps in verbal is to read a lot. I know that this is hard to do during a normal semester, but make your best attempt to read a lot of different things. Also read things that aren't so interesting to you b/c the MCAT will have some pretty boring subjects that most of us could care less about. Practice the passages many times. I found that I had to take some of the techniques taught to me and mold them to my own specs. At first I was reading fast and getting through every passage, but not getting the majority of questions right. I learned to slow down and annotate a good bit. Read the questions first and make some keywords in your mind. After I did all that, I was usually getting thru about 7 of the passages but getting most of the questions right. I went from an 8 on my last diag to an 11 on the test, so... It worked pretty well for me. You will have to try some out for yourself though... Good luck.zookeeper said:
