this might be a bit too early for the most of us, but as i sat in front of the computer through this long, dark, silent night, i thought i'd drop this message down on my favorite forum.

i briefly scanned through some of the more relevant sections. they are quite interesting. i think anybody who's entertaining the idea of becoming an academic in biological sciences should at least scan this booklet before tread too deep into the waters.
