Hi Guys,

I'm doing a 5-week EM rotation at LAC-USC med center in March.

Can anybody recommend a good very small pocket size handbook for this rotation?

Thanks,

Best book you can get IMHO is the Top 30 Problems in Emergency Medicine. Its about 25% bigger than a pocket pharmacopeia, but has almost eveyrthing you'll need to do well in your EM rotation.

I also keep now (as an intern) the Tarascon's Adult Emergency Pocketbook, as well as teh Critical Care/IM one.

Quinn,

thanks for the info.

Hey people tell me I look like Keanu. Usually in response I say,

" Dude, whatever."

Since you will be going to USC...check out the www.emrap.us website and print many of the handouts on this page.
You probably already know this, but Mel Herbert, MBBS works out of USC and is the editor of the EMRAP audiotapes.
