Is it considered a faux pas to visit/tour a school when you're currently in the application process? I'm an officer in my school's AMSA chapter, and we have a visit to a school I've applied to coming up next week. I was definitely intending to go until someone mentioned that they'd heard that before. Should I back out?

I think that you are straight. It actually might help your there.

That's kind of what I'd been thinking too! Anyone else heard anything about this?

That's only because we are trained to fear the establishment. I wasn't so scared until I realized my acceptance into medical school depended on other people (besides grades and stuff). :p
