Other OT-Related Information Volunteer Abroad/Mission Trip

Hi,

Have any of you had a volunteer abroad trip related to Occupational Therapy that you added to your OT school apps?
I'd like to this but unsure of any organizations with an OT aspect to it. I only know general volunteering for the community ones (or those with the more common field like medical)

I have not done this but I know a couple of my high school classmates did a short-term program in Peru in preparation for OT school. I looked into this at one point and I was considering a program in Puerto Rico. Sorry I don't know the specific name of the organization. I'm pretty sure I googled OT volunteer abroad or something and found a few. I know it is pretty expensive but I think colleges really like this, as it would help you stand out from other applicants. If you can afford it, do it!! Sounds like a great idea.
