Hello,
I have two volunteering questions.
1. How many hours per week of community service and/or clinical experience are you getting? I was told by my pre-med advisor that I should be getting 4 clinical and 4 community service (homeless, etc.) per week, for a total of 8 hours per week each semester. Does this sound like too much? It did to me.
2. What are some good hands-on volunteering experiences people can think of? Perhaps where you can create your own projects? I am tired of doing chores in hospitals like folding linens--to me this is not "clinical experience." And shadowing is good and all but I'd actually like to do something. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tofurkey
