Do any of you have any "tricks" you use to trick your mind into being truly interested in a VR passage that is completely uninteresting? I've diagnosed my biggest problem as not being able to actively read passages that are of no interest to me.

I've tried to no avail. I try to get really interested in what they're saying but cannot. Suggestions?

There is no trick to make verbal passages interesting haha. You have to be disciplined enough to make yourself focus.

Read it like a friend is telling you a story- straight from EK... sometimes it works well

Best advice I have heard was pretend that Morgan Freeman is reading it to you

Get yourself hypnotized before the MCAT?

JK!!

You want to sit at the edge of your seat and pull the monitor close to you. Before starting the VR section, just imagine yourself closer to the white coat ceremony. That always motivates me :)
