More specifically in San Francisco. I think it's min. wage which is $8.50 in SF. But just in case it's higher, I'd like to know before I go in tomorrow for an interview. Wouldn't want to get underpaid on an already low hourly wage 😀

Also, Generally speaking, do pharm clerks need a tie with their shirts and slacks? Or is a tie optional? I'll be at Rite Aid if anyone knows. Thanks

Well, since san fran has a higher cost of living its probably going to be inflated at bit. Yet as in Fresno, CA its 7.75 plus benefits if you work a certain amount hours. If you have a licence for a pharmacy tech then its even more!!! Yet be prepared to do a lot of non pharmacutical work before they let you do actual typing or pulling. Its also dependent of your pharmacist how he/she is willing to teach you. Mine are awsome so good luck with your job search.

Oh by the way impress them by wearing a tie and nice black slacks with clean pressed white shirt. First impressions make a huge difference. Plus since your working with professionals its a good idea to dress nice.

Yeah...I think minimum SF wage is about what you'd expect. Dress will be what Rite Aid wants - they'll tell you. For an interview, a shirt & tie is good. Good luck - hope you get the job!

Im from Sacramento and recently got a job at Kaiser as a pharmacy clerk. They pay 15.44 plus and extra dollar for no benefits.
