Hi. So for those of you who have seen my Upstate 2nd Visit Day threads, this one is asking a little different question.
I have read that there are some other schools who invite WLees to their 2nd look days (other than Upstate). I was wondering if going, or not going, can have a positive or negative impact on your rank on the WL.
Is there anyone on this forum that got in off a WL after going (or not going) to a 2nd look day??
This is my situation: I am on the high priority list at Upstate and was invited to the 2nd look. I RSVP'd for the day which is this Friday. My MS thesis defense is in a week and even though I have a BOATLOAD of work to do this week I am willing to take a day and a half off to go because this looks like my best chance for an acceptance right now. For those who dont know, I am waitlisted at 5 schools 🙁
ANYWAY. I am looking at my schedule and I know that if I work literally 10-12hr work days for the next two full work days and bust my ass over the weekend I can feasibly finish what I need to do. My question is it really worth it?? Will going really help my chances?? Please tell me what you honestly think and if there are those who were in this type of situation in the past at ANY school, let me know what you did and what the outcome was.
Thanks a million!!!!
