Waiting on my committee letter...is there any rush to complete secondaries?

I am receiving secondaries, but I go to Rice University and they don't submit the committee letters until 8/2. Should I be doing the 1-2 soft deadline or is it okay if I wait til the end of July since my app won't be complete until the LORs are added?

Up to you, really. I’d get them done now, while the prompts are fresh in your mind. We have a tendency to push things off simply because the deadlines aren’t immediate. I personally feel better knowing that my work into my application is done and just awaiting a routine thing.
