Well, it's official. I have been dropped from the USF waitlist. After having interviewed more applicants, it "became apparent" that I would not be offered a seat. In an attempt to provide closure, they decided to pass the word along. I knew my student interview went poorly! Oh well, at least I don't have to buy a laptop now.
I must be the biggest loser on earth!
ssd: EVMS was great! Much better than Albany, in my opinion. I got a small community vibe (where everyone liked one another), which pleased me.
I was pretty straightforward with them about financial issues. I told them that I have an acceptance from a school whose tuition is only $8,000 a year. I let them know that they would have to lower their tuition to about $15,000-$17,000 to even compete (it's currently $29,000 for out of staters, as you know). It was a bold move, but they may consider it. A scholarship wouldn't be unheard of, would it?!? If they can lower the tuition for me, I'd be happy to attend. If not, I've got an awesome place that has accepted me.
My EVMS interview was my best yet! I'm waiting anxiously for news in a couple weeks. It's cool that they tell you your placement on the waitlist. USF didn't do that...probably because they didn't want to tell me I was dead last. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
