Hello future doctors,

I'm kinda confused. When do med schools start pulling people from there waitlist? Is it March or May? I know that at anytime they can pull people from the waitlist, but I want to know when is the peak activity.

i believe it's after 5/15, when a whole bunch of slots open up after people can no long hold on to multiple acceptances.

I would say that it should be in late May, when everyone has said who their one and only choice is and the medical schools can figure out how many seats they need to fill. I know some schools use their waitlist as a kind of hold pool and take out of it periodically to fill their class, but the most movement from true waitlists should be in late May after everyone has chosen their #1. Looks like a long time to wait. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Where'd you get waitlisted, if I may ask?

CU in Med School-

I was pulled from GW's alternate list on Christmas Eve, but I rescinded their offer. Many of my friends got pulled from waitlists around graduation, so that was late May. But, I also had friends who were pulled through July. I had one friend who was pulled from the Michigan State waitlist in May, placed a deposit there, was pulled from the Georgetown waitlist, removed herself from Michigan State, and then ended up at Michigan!

Good luck with everything.
