Waitlist vs Accepted question

    If someone is waitlisted but then accepted, would that count as accepted or rejected in usnews/mdapps?

    I think it counts as an acceptance. According to the acceptance section in the MSAR, within four weeks of offering an acceptance, the school has to report it to AMCAS or whatever. So it would be reported as an acceptance.

    Also, after some date in June, if you're accepted somewhere else, and a school is going to offer you admission, they have to notify the school where you are currently accepted.

    All of this crap is in the beginning of the MSAR.
