Anybody waitlisted at MUO? What is their waitlist process? What are the chances of getting accepted? If you know, please help!

Iamme -

You may want to contact them and ask them. I believe that they run two separate waitlists - one for in-state and one for out-of-state. They seem to stick pretty close to a 75%/25% ratio. I doubt that there will be much waitlist movement from them until May. Last year, if you contacted them after they were done with interviews, they would tell you where you fell in the waitlist (top 1/3, middle 1/3, bottom 1/3). I seem to remember that their waitlist did not move much at ALL last year.

Good luck!

i am also waitlisted at muo, im oos (california), so im holding on to my slim chances. all this waiting sucks...

Does anyone know if the upcoming interviews are for waitlist only?

Seems likely, especially for out of state. However, they supposedly enroll about 25% out of state and they seem to have been accepting very few out of state people, so the list must move somewhat.

For example, the state with the highest number of matriculants (other than Ohio of course) was California (naturally) with 13 last year, and there aren't any people on MDapplicants from CA that have been accepted already this year (I checked).

Dr. Burns said that at every admissions comm. meeting they admit a certain number usually. So, if newly-interviewed people do not get accepted, they accept the next few on the waiting list (each person is assigned a numerical score). I imagine, though, the change requisite to push a lot of the waitlisters to acceptances (at all schools) will not happen until May 15th. I could be wrong, though.

I am gonna be w/drawing very soon...Can I request that an SDN'er get my spot? 🙂 Good luck guys!!
