UPENN!!!! TIER 2!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!

well i have 4 top top top choices, and i've been waitlisted at 3 so far_ cornell, stanford, columbia.

my last top choice hasn't given decisions yet, but, man, i'm afraid to even dream of that one pulling through. damn, that would be ridiculous.

ah well, im pretty used to the waiting by now.

Waitlisted at University of Minnesota

Waitlisted at Missouri--At least I know my placement on the list and have (some) hope that I'll make it off the list. Hopefully before Aug!

Well I've been wailisted at my top choice Stanford and then waitlisted at Columbia, given the run around at Duke, and I dunno about Yale yet.

Waitlisted (Tier 1) at Penn.

But the admissions director told me to come to the accepted students weekend in an email she sent me, so I HOPE that's a good sign!

I got waitlisted at my top school, UC Irvine. You can't beat the location, price, and board scores. Plus I can be by my OC booty calls (very important when you are a stressed out medical student).

Hey Guys
i don't have a first choice school but I was placed in the waitlist at half the places I have interviewed so far.
:( :( GWU, Creighton & EVMS-Please accept me I am a really nice person.
I wish the adcoms would consider this as a valid reason for letting me in.

Pritzker. I think by now everyone knows that I love Pritzker

Cornell! This sucks!

I feel like emailing her couldn't hurt--but I would write them a letter and get it there next week priority mail or some such... :)

And Trout: thanks for the kind sentiments and I'll of course keep you posted on Penn developments...

Question: Do you guys make new first choices based on where you have been offered interviews? How many of you have new first choices now compared to when you applied?

Like my first choice is Mt Sinai, but I haven't heard from them yet (and this late I prolly won't), but out of my few interviews my new first choice is UF.

I don't have any waitlists yet, but I just wanted to reply to this thread! :D

Waitlisted at GW. It was my only application too, so the waiting game continues,

Is there a reason why you applied to only one school? Any reason for not going Early Decision?

A friend got into GW off the waitlist in July last year...

PENN, tier one...please, please, please!

Did everyone else who's waitlisted Penn Tier 1 get the same letter discussing how they were at the very top of the list (the waitlist letter) and could be one of the first one's accepted.

If not, then...um, I'm just kidding about the letter...

Seriously, though, did everyone on T1 get the same letter or did they have further divisions of the first tier??

Thanks all! :)

My letter does not specify that I am at the top of tier 1--only that im on tier 1 and my most probable chances for acceptance are in may and june.

I would consider your letter to be a pretty good indicator that you will be accepted. Congrats!

PRITZKER PRITZKER PRITZKER

they have 300 people on the waiting list, i'm screwed

i make it based on my interviews. if i based it on my original list of med schools, i'd be crying cause i got so many rejections. so far i'm at 11 rejection letters. my total should be 16. :)

but i have been waitlisted by duke, my #1

If I were accepted to other schools but not GW, knowing that my chances at GW will be much higher next year via early decision, I would wait. Once I had this realization, I thought that I would not only save money and time by applying to GW alone, but also show GW my express interest in their program.
