Hi all

I just found out that I was waitlisted at Vermont (UVM). Does anyone know how many people get in off the waitlist at Vermont and what chance do you all think I have of getting in. My stats are decent (27, 3.9), and I think my interview went fairly well. Also, I heard that Vermont tends to waitlist many of the out of state applicants, which ultimately get ranked. Thanks.

Hang in there, getting on the waitlist is not that bad. Vermont seems to accept a good amount of people off their waitlist and you have some solid stats, and since your interview went well, I'm sure you'll get a nice ranking and will eventually get in.
Good luck!!

Last year when I was applying, it seemed that quite a few people got into Vermont off the waitlist. I got on 3 waitlists (not at Vermont though, didn't apply there). I wrote the schools an update letter/letter of interest about every other month and had two more letters of recommendation sent. This didn't seem to help me at Mount Sinai or MCP Hahnemann (now called Drexel) but on the first day of classes, with no acceptances and no place to go, UCLA called and asked if I was still interested. I know the waitlist process sucks, but if you hang in there, you may wind up at your dream school.

i heard vermont puts the majority (something like 90%) of their out of state interviewees on the waitlist to make sure they have enough spots for in-state residents. i think it's really hard to get an outright acceptance as an out of stater.

On the bright side, at least you weren't rejected🙂
