Hey, this question is regarding letters of recommendations. i come from a school which does not have that pre-med advisory committee, so all of my individual letters are sent to med schools in one big packet. Some of my letters i have waived my right to see, and others i have not waived. When applications ask whether I have "waived my right to see all letters" or not, which one should I choose??
Thank you!!

I don't understand when you say "all LORs sent to med schools in one big packet". How did u do that?

Also what form do you fill out to waive your right to see. Where do you get it?

Your school should have the form to waive your rights to see your letter of recomendation. My school is the same. They do'nt have a committee but what they have is a service where you have letters from your teachers go to one person who mails everything out in one package.

To the OP: Do you not want to waive your rights on all your letters? My school doesn't give the option to waive the option on some letters. You have to do an all or none thing. I would say fill in that you have waived your rights. But that is just my opinion.

Yes, my school does provide waiver forms, but they are not all or nothing. Each letter has a separate waiver form. My school has a letter service--I turn in all of my letters into the letter service and the service sends them in one big packet to med schools. So for some of my letters, I did waive my right, and for others I didn't, and each letter has a stamp saying whether I waived my right or not.

(I went to UC Berkeley)

Any more input would be very helpful... thanks for those of you who have replied!!

Megalofyia,
My school doesn't have any pre-med commitees and waiver forms. Do you think its OK if I use the waiver form provided by interfolio.com or referencenow.com services? 'Cause that's where I will be sending my LORs from.

I"m using referencenow.com for my LORs that aren't coming from teachers. I would think their waiver form would be fine since unless your writter gives you a copy of the letter you will not be able to see the letter.

mosfeet,

I'm actually just using the Interfolio waivers. Even though my school has a fulltime premed advisor, we don't have waivers for recommendations for some odd reason. He said the Interfolio ones are by far good enough.
