Hi everyone,
I need advice. I'm applying from an Ivy ranked in the top 5.
My GPA trend is:
Freshman: 3.29
Soph: 3.38
Junior: 3.43
Senior: 3.60
Postbacc: 3.92
I had a terrible case of whooping cough during my freshman and sophomore years, which explains my rough grades at the beginning. i got 4 C's in first 2 years. i repeated all 4 classes as a postbacc and received As.
My cGPA is a 3.50 and my sGPA is a 3.31. My MCAT is a 512. I have extensive research experience - 3 publications, 1 poster, and co-PI on a current study. all research is about a rare chronic disease I was born with. I also have lots of volunteering and shadowing and am fluent in french.
are my stats the kiss of death? I'm from the DC-area and Georgetown is my dream. Here are my others:
GW
Tufts
BU
Emory
VTech
TJ
Drexel
Einstein
Pitt
Wake Forest
Mt Sinai
Rochester
Case
UVM
Cornell (huge reach)
Vandy (huge reach, a dream)
