MD & DO WAMC 3.57 cGPA , 507 mcat

Just received my score and I am a bit disappointed but I think I came along way in terms of my mcat score from the beginning of prep I scored a 507 125/128/127/127. I know I will on the lower side in terms of GPA, but I just want to give it a try.

Non-URM, Male, CA resident, claiming disadvantaged status (lack of equitable access to healthcare / education)

MD: cGPA 3.57, sGPA 3.3-3.4 (last two years 4.0)
DO: cGPA 3.57, sGPA 3.50-3.6


Extracurricular:
I have a pretty unique award and scholarship from my undergraduate institution
1 year Public health research (with presentation)
1 year psychology research
1 year biology research
Eboard for 2 organizations
Peer health educator both volunteer and paid (2 years)
Shadowing a DO (currently about 45 hours will be getting more)
Disability service note take (3 semesters)
Teaching experience through Cal-teach
A bunch of other healthcare relevant experiences (including international medical trip)


I am taking a gap year to apply and plan on doing a year of service through americorp and volunteering at my local hospital / shadowing.

You are competitive for all DO schools and should receive several interviews. Toledo and Wayne State accept very few non residents with your stats.
