  1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS or AACOMAS: 3.64 / 3.52; Mathematics Major with no trend (3.41 Freshman cGPA, 3.55 Sophomore cGPA, 3.50 Junior cGPA, 3.64 cGPA with a 4.0 in my last 17 credits + 10 credits taken in community college post-COVID to complete missing pre-reqs); 3.52 graduate GPA in my MPH
  2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown. Include all (non-voided) attempts: 487 (June 2020) - I should have voided but tried rushing to apply in 2020, 510 (September 2023), 520 (August 2024)
  3. State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): FL
  4. Ethnicity and/or race: Asian & Hispanic (not a URM)
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: Top Private University in FL
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): Scribed a Neurologist (~500 hours) and Physiatrist (~500 hours) under ScribeAmerica, Volunteered for National Public Health Week, participated in local volunteer activities through AED & AMSA
  7. Research experience and productivity: Worked at a Parasitology Lab (~300 hours) and currently working under a Clinical Pain Psychology Lab (~1000 hours). No major publications; presented a few posters and won an undergraduate research award for being the top Microbiology & Immunology research student
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: Shadowed a General Surgeon (~200 hours) and Diagnostic Radiologist (~200 hours)
  9. Non-clinical volunteering: Founded a cultural education center in Miami for adolescents to combat systemic discrimination + donate food and work at soup kitchen (~1000 hours); volunteered at local Math Club (~300 hours) & Run Club (~200 hours)
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): Completed a Master of Public Health at state's topic public university and participated in Graduate Student Council, continued scribing under ScribeAmerica post-graduation, held leadership roles in university's Math Club and multicultural organizations
  11. Relevant honors or awards: Department of Microbiology & Immunology Valedictorian for being top undergraduate research student; Departmental Honors in Mathematics for completing multiple graduate-level coursework and maintaining a 3.7 major GPA.
  12. Anything else not listed you think might be important: I have a total of 7 Ws on my transcripts. I obtained a W in Anatomy and Physiology in Spring 2015 as a High School Dual Enrollment student, Differential Equations in Fall 2016, Abstract Math in Spring 2017, Organic Chemistry 2 and Immunobiology in Spring 2018, Topics in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Fall 2019, and Epidemiology as a graduate student in Summer 2021. Additionally, I performed extremely poorly on my first MCAT attempt in June 2020 due to rushing my preparation and scoring significantly below my FL average of low 500s. Since then, I improved my score to a 510 last year and a 520 recently.

When are you planning to apply ?

Most likely next year. I might apply only to the In-State schools + Carle + Emory this year because I pre-wrote the secondaries for those schools already.
You are probably good for in-state. Why are you applying to Carle?

I liked their engineering focus and did a math major so I met all their additional competencies (one semester of Linear Algebra, one semester of Multivariable Calc, etc.)

You should accumulate 150+ hours of non clinical volunteering (food bank, homeless shelter, etc.) before you apply. Otherwise, you could be screened out at some schools. I suggest adding these schools to your application:
Wake Forest
Virginia Commonwealth
Tulane
TCU
George Washington
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Pittsburgh
Hofstra
Rochester
Vermont
Tufts
Western Michigan
Cincinnati
Iowa
Colorado
Arizona (Phoenix)
Mayo

Thank you for the list! I volunteered at a soup kitchen and served food to minority children from Haiti as part of the cultural education center I founded back in 2016 and have accumulated well over 1000 hours since then. I listed that experience as one of my 3 most meaningful experiences too on my AMCAS primary.
