1 gap year, ORM
3.85 cgpa / 3.87 sgpa (3.9 cgpa for last 4 semesters)
MCAT: 519,
Clinical Volunteering: 1 summer, 50h
Shadowing: 20h cardiology, 100h abroad in Europe
Nonclinical: 15h, 1 semester at facilitated living home
Research: 1500 hours, 1 article coauthor, 1 poster presentation,
Other: Italian minor

I feel relatively confident with my stats but know that there's nothing stand out in my ECs, although I think I can do a decent enough job writing about my experiences. Not really sure how to reconcile that with the school list and would appreciate any help.

Current List:
  • Yale
  • Northwestern
  • Cornell
  • Pitt
  • UMich
  • Hofstra
  • Mt Sinai
  • Case Western
  • Boston University
  • Rochester
  • UWisc
  • USF Morsani
  • UCONN (State)
  • Tufts
  • Jefferson
Thanks!

State of residence?

Your low clinical and non clinical volunteering hours are concerning.

Your low clinical and non clinical volunteering hours will limit your chances for interviews. I suggest adding these schools:
Quinnipiac
Vermont
Einstein
Drexel
Temple
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Wake Forest
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
Central Florida
NOVA MD
TCU-UNT
Medical College Wisconsin
Western Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
Cincinnati
You should accumulate 200+ hours of clinical volunteering with patient contact and 50 hours of primary care shadowing in the coming year in case you need to reapply.

CT. I know, I'm hoping my stats can let me sneak into an interview and I can find a way to address that / will have accumulated experience during my gap year by then.

Thanks for the advice, I had Quinnipiac / GW/ UVM / Einstein on my list initially and took them off, will probably look to add them back.

You are really shooting yourself in the foot here with the extremely low volunteering hours. Maybe you could hop across the finish line on one leg. But if you just checked the box (which you haven't), you'd be a strong applicant. As you are, you're middling at best. Would recommend a gap year and ideally 300+ hours each of clinical and nonclinical volunteering...but half that would be OK for you.
