I have applied to 23 MD schools and 5 DO schools. I am just curious what my chances are for an MD program.
Caucasian Male, AZ Resident
MCAT: 511 | 130, 126, 127, 128 (Unbalanced?)
cGPA: 4.0, sGPA: 4.0
Research: 1,500+ hours (2.5 years) of clinical research at nation’s highest volume lung transplant program. 3 publications (1 first author in high impact surgical journal). 11 national/international conferences for poster/oral presentations. 750+ hours (1.5 years) of translational, bench-lab research at internationally-renowned neurological institute. No abstracts or publications.
Shadowing: 150 hours of shadowing several doctors in acute care setting (multiple specialities) for summer internship.
Volunteer/Community Service: Roughly 400 hours in projects benefitting my college’s neighborhood, nearby assisted living facility. Tutoring experience (1 year).
Employment: 250+ hours working as a CNA in a long-term care facility. 190 hours as a Medical Research Editor for online editing company.
