Some schools do average MCAT scores. Your 30 hours of a shadowing is a little low but should not make a difference at most schools. You should add a few more schools and I suggest these:
Mercer
Seton Hall
Jefferson
NOVA MD
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Medical College Wisconsin
Rosalind Franklin
TCU-UNT

Hi everyone, I'd like to get everyone's feedback on my list and chances for this cycle.

cGPA/sGPA: 3.89/3.84 (upward trend, attended a top 10 US university)
MCAT: 507 --> 513 (130/125/129/129). Improvement in all 4 sections compared to first MCAT

Asian Male
GA resident

ECs:

1) Clinical: volunteering 250 hours in trauma care, shadowed 30 hours
2) Nonclinical: ~100 hours at a retirement home + ~100 hours doing various service projects in the city (tutoring disadvantaged students, cooking for the homeless, etc.)
3) Leadership: resident advisor for first-year students (1300 hours)
4) ~150 hours of research at a university over the summer, ~150 hours of research at my own university, no publications

LORs: strong at best, average at worst
Essays: above average PS, average-above average secondaries

School List:

Reach
:

1) Keck
2) BU
3) Pitt
4) Einstein
5) Hofstra
6) Dartmouth
7) Stony Brook

Target:

1) Emory
2) MCG (Augusta)
3) UMaryland
4) Tulane
5) Geisinger
6) SLU
7) Albany
8) Drexel
9) Quinnipiac
10) Tufts
11) Rosalind Franklin
12) Temple
13) Virginia Commonwealth
14) NYMC
15) Penn state
16) UMiami
17) GW
18) Georgetown
19) University of Indiana
20) Morehouse

Some concerns:

1) Will my 125 on CARS make me uncompetitive at these schools?
2) I've heard some med schools have recently been averaging MCAT scores for applicants who took the test multiple times (ex: Jefferson). Does that mean I'm basically applying with a 510? If so, would it be meaningless to apply to schools with MCAT medians of 515+?
3) My shadowing hours are a bit low. How concerning is this?
4) I am concerned that many of my target schools are low yields. While it is no longer considered "early" to submit secondaries, it is certainly not too late. Should I add other schools, and if so, which schools?

Assuming I submitted most of these apps in July and a few in August, what are my chances?

To preserve my anonymity as much as possible, please do not quote me.

Thank you for all honest feedback (and please let me know if you would like me to look at your WAMC)!
Morehouse and IU will be donations, and yes, schools do average scores.

I recommend:
U Toledo
U VM
Miami
Tufts
George Washington
Georgetown
SLU
Albany
Rush
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
MCW
VCU
EVMS
Wayne State
Wake Forest
Netter
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Oakland-B
Seton Hall
Nova MD
TCU/UNT
Your state schools
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide. LMU has an accreditation warning, which concerns me. CalHS is too new and appears to be too limited in rotations sites.

Thank you both for your responses. I have added 7 more "target" schools, so I hope this will be enough.

@Goro @Faha although schools do average MCAT scores, do they also reward a considerable score improvement? I've also heard many of them only consider the highest or most recent score, which would certainly work in my favor, but I am skeptical. I ask because Emory and Hofstra are my top choices and now I'm looking back if I made too many donations to too many schools.
This is school dependent; I don't know which ones do, and there is no accounting for the tastes of individual screeners or interviewers. Hence, I am being conservative in my suggestions.

Your chances are always best with your state schools.
