    1. Not really, I feel like I'm just a normal guy
I know I have weak non-clinical volunteering, and I'll work on getting those hours up, but I'm pretty set on applying for this upcoming cycle. I feel like I'm kind of just a cookie-cutter applicant but I really do enjoy the things that I do and I'm excited about medical school. Hoping to at least get in somewhere on my list – would love advice on any other schools to consider.

School List:
  1. Rutgers NJMS
  2. Rutgers RWJ

I know UNC is impossible OOS but it's one of my favorite schools so I'll be trying it out for sure. I also know BU is more service-heavy, but I'd love to be in the Boston area if possible so I feel like I should shoot my shot. Thanks so much in advance for everyone's help!

Yes, please get on your non-clinical volunteering hours with service orientation activities (food distribution, shelter volunteer, job/tax preparation, transportation services, or housing rehabilitation). You need 150 hours to avoid getting screened out at most schools, 250 if you want to shoot for "brand schools" with applicants with a similar GPA/MCAT as yours.

If it's important to you, check for chapters affiliated with the Medical Student Pride Alliance.

Any reason why Cooper Rowan isn't on your list as an IS Public?

Otherwise your list looks more or less solid to me — with the above caveat on service
