Where is your state of residence ? When are you planning to apply ?
Get more non clinical hours projected and you’ll be fine for MD
Thank you!Lookin' good for academics and ECs.
Some schools want a LOR from a non-science professor.
I suggest applying to all of these DO schools with your stats:Hi Faha, I am a Cali resident, applying to DO schools now primarily.
I suggest applying to all of these DO schools with your stats:
ACOM
ARCOM
BCOM
NYIT-Arkansas
UIWSOM
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
LUCOM
VCOM ( all 3 schools)
CUSOM
ICOM
CHSU-COM
LECOM ( all schools)
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia
You're fine for any DO school. Send an app to mine. No, I can't tell you where. Just go west of the Missouri River.Hi All,
Looking for some school advice and... what my chances are! Let me know if there is some key element I am missing.
UGPA: 3.10
sGPA: 3.01
Postbac GPA: 4.0 (15 credits)
SMP GPA: 4.0 (30 credits)
MCAT: 508 (unbalanced: C&P 130, BB: 126, CARS: 125, PS: 127)
Clinical experience: 5000+ (2500 as a Medical Scribe, ~3000 as an organ transplant coordinator)
Clinical volunteering: 32 hours (at a nursing home)
Nonclinical volunteering: 160 hours (100 hours tutoring underprivileged children, 50 hours volunteering in a soup kitchen, 10 hours teaching students at elementary schools)
I have 1 DO letter (anticipating a second one will be submitted by next week), 2 MD letters, 4 science letters.
Any input you have would be greatly appreciated!
Only NOVA and PCOM require this as far as I know. Can’t speak for MDI would get a non-science LOR, you are good for all DO schools except maybe KCU cause they have a GPA requirement of 3.25 c/sGPA, but idk how strict they are with it, and I would throw in a couple MD schools too (your instate schools)
