I did a post-bacc to retake several classes that I needed to and I have had an upward trend for the past three semesters. I'll be done with my post-bacc at the end of the summer and then I'll be working full time at a dental office.

What’s will your sgpa be once you add your grades from your postbacc at the end of this quarter?

I'm only taking two classes this summer. Not exactly sure if I calculated it correctly but with two 4 credit courses in which I will get A's in both I calculated it to be 2.94.

You stand a chance this cycle, but use the adea guide/explorer to determine which schools have gpa cutoffs (you likely get autorejected from these schools) and which are oos friendly to residents of IL, apply to these. You’ll need to apply broadly, but if you don’t get in this cycle due to your low sgpa you’ll likely need to do a masters in science and maintain a high gpa in order to be more competitive. Also, obviously continue to update your app with your new good grades as you get them throughout the cycle.

what's your postbacc gpa? If it is above 3.5+ you definitely have upward trend and a shot at school this cycle

We have similar academic stats and DAT scores. Given your volunteer and extracurricular activities, I think it makes you well rounded as a an applicant. I would have only applied to at most 10 of the least inexpensive schools on your list so no need to apply to more schools
