  1. cGPA and sGPA as calculated by AMCAS : sGPA: 3.49, cGPA: 3.64 (everything upward trend)
  2. MCAT score(s) and breakdown. 2022 scores: 1st attempt: 495 =122/124/124/125, 2nd attempt: 500 = 124/124/127/125. 2023 scores: 3rd attempt: 509 =126/127/128/128 (overall 14 point increase across 3 attempts)
  3. State of residence or country of citizenship (if non-US): FL
  4. Ethnicity and/or race: Asian
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: Public school (finished my bachelor degree in 3 years but took a gap year before applying this cycle)
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): 1000 hours scribing paid employment (lots of projected), 1800 hours clinical volunteering at non profit clinic. (a little more projected), 1 conference attended
  7. Research experience and productivity: 1000 hours research, first author pub, and 1 poster presentation.
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: 1800 hours clinical volunteering at non profit clinic (I was able to shadow doctors of different specialties in this clinic as well as volunteer)
  9. Non-clinical volunteering: 1000 hours food bank volunteering with leadership(little more projected), 300 hours international social justice advocacy
  10. Other extracurricular activities (including athletics, military service, gap year activities, leadership, teaching, etc): archery (participated in national competitions) and cricket.
  11. Relevant honors or awards: Dean's List in my junior and senior year where i took advanced science courses?
  12. Anything else not listed you think might be important: Lived in medically underserved area, part of immigrant family, took a gap year before applying this cycle
  13. School List: Everywhere Florida and states I have ties. Also applying broadly across the country to schools that I am in 25th percentile MCAT and GPA in (about 50 schools). Applying DO as well.
  14. Thoughts and concerns: I am a little scared that although I am trending upward on my MCAT, it won't be enough for admission into MD. 3 attempts is a lot and I am just having a lot of anxiety that my first 2 scores are going to hurt me a lot. I am also worried that taking 2 gap years will also hurt me but I have been doing a lot in terms of extracurriculars to compensate for it. I am also applying to a couple of DO schools this cycle. For my science GPA, I dropped the ball in my freshman year, but that was in 2020 peak of COVID and I had some deaths in my family that required me to travel out of town for caregiving and I talk about it in secondaries. Since then, everything is upward trend in my GPA. I am a reapplicant in 2024 though I did not apply to a lot of schools in my previous cycle only about 15 schools. I worked a lot in my gap year on prewriting secondaries and having peer review on my primary so I believe my writing is strong.

thank you so much for the school list! I have a lot of these schools on my applications but you gave a couple I was undecided on but I will definitely add them! Could you give me your overall thoughts on my application as well if you don't mind? Do I have a shot at MD? Would highly appreciate it

The GPA-MCAT grid shows you have a 2/3 chance for a MD acceptance. I believe your chances are higher because of your extensive clinical and non clinical volunteering hours.
