Hey everyone.

Im hoping to get into a MD school this cycle after not getting into a DO one two cycles ago. When i first applied, i had a 3.4+ cGPA 3.1 sGPA 25 MCAT. Had 2 years working clinical experience, 300ish hours of volunteering (mostly with a church for 1.5 years and with a local hospital for 6 months).

I was not accepted, retook 3 science courses, took 2 new science courses and aced them all. Now i have a 3.5+ 3.3+ and retook the MCAT and scored a 512.

Im a little worried about the breakdown though.

Overall: 512
C/P: 126
CARS: 127
B/B: 129
P/S: 130

With my lower GPAs (but an upward trend), is that MCAT breakdown good enough to have a realistic shot at MD? Im applying to 20+ MD and 5+ DO.

So, chances?

Thank you for the list! Im assuming my MCAT breakdown is fine then?

I don't if five science courses alone and the new MCAT will be enough for schools other than U ILL and DO schools.

My last 39 science credits (retakes with *), consisted of Anatomy/Physiology I and II, Evolution, Orgo I*, Orgo II *, Biostats, Cell Bio *, Genetics, Biochem, Virology. Through those 39 credits my GPA is 3.8+.

Is that sufficient with my 512 MCAT?

I forgot to mention that I have no research experience. Should I not bother applying to any of the following schools because of this?

Albany
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
Drexel
Quinnipiac
Geisinger Commonwealth
George Washington
Georgetown
Indiana
Temple
Loyola
Medical College of Wisconsin
New York Medical College
Nova Southeastern (MD)
Oakland University William Beaumont University of Vermont
Rush
