Changed from pre-law to pre-med after sophomore year of college. ORM. Rural NC resident. 200 hours hospital volunteering, 200 hours church volunteering, and starting a new volunteer position in September. Lots of shadowing in medically underserved communities. 1 publication and 1 in progress. History major/pre-med minor at state school. 3.55 cGPA and 3.2 BCPM. Taking science classes this year to hopefully improve BCPM. I really want to go to school in NYC and hopefully do residency there as well. Do I have a chance even if I do fantastic on the MCAT?

I think you have a chance, even if you do fantastic on the MCAT!

Seriously, your ECs are great. Kill that MCAT and apply prudently, include DO schools.
