Howdy y'all, just wanting help with school list and what my overall chances of getting in are. Long-story short, I had a family to support and have been working full-to-plus time for the past 7 years (and part-time before that). I have applied to the following schools and wondered if there are any others I should add.

PCOM Georgia and South Georgia, DMU COM, OSU COM, TCOM, Kansas COM, KY COM, WV COM, LECOM, BCOM, MSU COM, NYIT COM - Arkansas, RVU COM (all), ACOM, Noorda COM, ATSU COM (both), Western COM (OR), NOVA COM, Marian COM, ARCOM, ICOM, Campbell COM, VCOM - VA, LA, UIW COM, KCU COM, LU COM, SHSU COM, OCOM

You should receive several interviews from your list. Western is unlikely with your MCAT of 500. MSUCOM has very high non resident tuition. You could add WCU-COM, TUNCOM. LMU-DCOM

Welcome to the forums. Is there a reason why PA is not on the table?
Nothing too crazy, I saw in the past that many PA schools required Microbiology which I did not take in undergrad. I do not object to a post-bacc, but this was not on the table financially until recently as a potential option. I have considered pursuing the pathway if I do not get into medical school and would be quite happy working in the setting as I am close friends with several of the PAs on staff in the hospital. Of the two however, I would prefer to work as a physician. Much of my time was spent with physicians and I find the workflow more attractive from a future practice standpoint. Ultimately, I want to work in rural medicine which remains an option with either pathway.

Thank you. I did speak with WCU and they informed me I required a committee packet for application, which I do not have (I do have professor letters however). I'll consider adding TUNCOM. Forgot to include that I did apply to LMU-DCOM.

You’re on a roll!

You have more II’s now than people with 3.8 gpa’s i’m following. Thats awesome.
Ha! Yeah! I'm pretty excited at this point. Makes the thousands of hours of work feel worthwhile 😅

Hope it encourages others with similar apps. I had a hard time finding posts by people with similar stats.

Look at you!!! Stacking up the II’s.
Thanks again! I feel quite reassured. I've seen a lot of people posting about low MCAT's and their chances and hope it will give people an idea of what is actually in store for them.
