I recently got my MCAT score and was initially happy with the score until I went through MSAR and freaked out, especially because my GPA is nothing special.
I wanted to see what my chances are and determine if there is anything I can do before applying the 2021-2022 cycle to improve my chances.
About me:
Ungergrad: top public school
Graduate school: working towards a M.S.
State of Residence: CA
ORM/low SES
cGPA: 3.6
sGPA:3.5 (major upward trend)
MCAT: 512
EC: I have very strong ECs. I would say the best part of my application is that I have a very strong narrative for everything I participated in. These include: running a large service organization, working as a Teaching Assistant, over 5 years in a research lab, shadowing, hospital volunteering, etc. I also have pretty strong LORs
I was hoping to go MD, but will also apply some DO. Also planning on applying very broadly!
