6. Paid Clinical: Hospital Worker 2016 - 500 hours
Volunteering: Hospice - 350 hours currently, 500 by potential matriculation
7. 400 hours of virus research: 1 poster at a major conference, 1 publication
8. 140 hours shadowing: 3 surgical specialties and family med
9. Non-clinical - court-appointed child advocate - 200 hours currently, 400 by potential matriculation
10 Extracurriculars: I've lived and worked throughout the country as a manager in building materials, medical devices, and the pharmaceutical industries.
11. Awards: I've won two awards for excellence in engineering and management
13. Red Flags: 3 withdrawals on transcripts (family issues during undergrad, non-performance related)
14. Extra info: Due to my career obligations, I began submitting secondaries in early August and just finished. I know how important submitting early is, and I am concerned. I would appreciate any comments on my candidacy and any suggestions on adding additional schools if it is not too late in the cycle. Thank you!
