Hello, I got back my MCAT score yesterday and I'm looking for some feedback on a school list. I figured applying MD wouldn't be worth it due to being a low stat RI ORM. I'm open to applying for any school really, but I made my list considering DO schools with affiliated hospitals since it seems like it gets rid of some headache during clinical years.
  1. cGPA: 3.65 and sGPA: 3.65
  2. MCAT score: 510 (127/127/129/127)
  3. RI resident
  4. ORM
  5. Undergraduate institution or category: large private university in MA
  6. Clinical experience (volunteer and non-volunteer): 2500 hours as a EMT (paid)
  7. Research experience and productivity: none
  8. Shadowing experience and specialties represented: 40 hours primary care
  9. Non-clinical volunteering: 150 hours tutoring at a title I school, 300 hours volunteering at a soup kitchen, 600 hours volunteering as a counselor at an after-school program
  10. Relevant honors or awards: none
Current list:
ACOM
ARCOM
AZCOM
BUCOM
CUSOM
DMU-COM
Kansas-COM
KCU-COM
LECOM Bradenton
PCOM
TUNCOM
UNECOM
WesternU Northwest
WVSOM

Thanks!

Your GPA and MCAT is competitive for some MD schools. Why not shoot your shot?

You could receive interviews at MD schools and I suggest these:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
UMass
Albany
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
Penn State
George Washington
Virginia Commonwealth
Eastern Virginia
Wake Forest
NOVA MD
Belmont
Tulane
TCU
Creighton
Rosalind Franklin
Medical College Wisconsin
Oakland Beaumont
Wayne State
Alice Walton (when it opens)
Roseman (when it opens)
You have a good DO list.
