Hi everyone! I'm an Oklahoma resident and my goal is to get into OU med. Their 2025 averages are 3.8 cGPA, and a 508 MCAT and I'd be so grateful if I could get some help crafting a good school list. I graduated back when the pandemic hit in 2020 and have since worked on getting clinical experience to enhance my application and make sure that medicine was a good fit for me.

STATS:
3.53 cGPA, 3.41 sGPA (upward trend)
510 MCAT (126,127,127,130)
*received 4 C's in Physics, Chem, and retook 2 Bio courses and got A's

66.3 LizzyM

Amoeba Research (2 semesters)
Fertilization Research (1 semester, 1 summer) -> name on presentation board at Gordon Research Conference that professor went to
Salamander Oviduct Research (1 semester, interrupted due to covid)

SHADOWING

ENT (10 hours)
*Anesthesiology (about to start and hope to get around 50)
*hope to add one more specialty as well

Guys, I heard you were among the best in creating school lists. This is gonna be my first time applying and my biggest dream is just getting into my state MD school, do you think I can cut it? And what other schools should I consider? I'd really like to go MD if possible

Did you grow up in Oklahoma, or did you spend any time in childhood living in Texas?

What is your year-by-year GPA if you are saying you had an upward trend?

Have you connected with LMSA or SNMA officers at schools on your wishlist?

Any non-tutoring community service since graduating (post-APO)? Food banks, shelter work, job training/development?

Grown up in Oklahoma all the way through!

for undergrad upward trend it was 3.21 ->3.29-.3.47->3.81

to be very honest, I had no idea what LMSA or SNMA officers were until I just looked them up, and now I definitely plan to :) thank you

Besides APO, and my current clinical volunteering, I don't have anymore hours which I have to beef up asap. I was interested in youth programs or the local equality center where I live...
