Hey all, I'm having a hard time figuring out my school list. I'm open to either DO or MD and prefer to be somewhere in the South/Southeast (I don't like the cold lol). I'd appreciate any and all advice! Here's all my info:
1. cGPA: 3.66, sGPA: 3.55, no clear trend
2. MCAT: 507 (124/127/127/129)
3. Florida resident, lived in Arizona for 11 years
4. White, Jewish, Male
5. Top 5 public university for undergrad
6. Clinical:
-Volunteer at a clinic for medically underserved populations (300 hrs)
-Volunteer Coordinator at same clinic (200 hrs)
-Worked at a physician-group clinic at the front desk (400 hrs)
7. Research:
-Research assistant, basically data collection and patient interaction at a clinic (70 hrs)
8. Shadowing:
-Internist (10 hrs)
-ENT (10 hrs)
-Cardiologists, Gynecologists, and Primary Care at clinical volunteering location (70 hrs)
9. Non-Clinical Volunteering:
-Intered at a family resource center for disadvantaged populations (120 hrs)
10. EC/Other:
-AMSA exec board and director board (1080 hrs combined)
-DM Ambassador for fraternity for 3 years, increased fundraising by 5000%, (400 hrs)
-Fraternity: Risk Prevention and Wellness Director (350 hrs)
-Freshman leadership development program member and then Director of Admin for 1.5 yrs (300 hrs combined)
-Worked at a restaurant at a high-end resort over summers (500 hrs) (potential 1000 hrs more during gap year)
-Hope to scribe during my gap year (potential 1000 hrs)
