Your application is most suited for group 1. But you should also have some schools from Group 2 in there + all of your in state schools. I would avoid OOS public schools though like UMass/UConn (unless those are your home states).

Thanks a lot Banco for your thoughtful comments. I agree about the OOS public school challenge but one of them is my home state. Any thoughts on CASPer vs non CASPer schools?

If you're looking for another Group 2 school, consider Rochester. I don't really know too much CASPER, sorry.
