Hi everyone,
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
I recently received my MCAT scores and I improved from 497 (6/2018) to 502 (5/2019).
Not as good as I would have liked, but I have been told to apply broadly to both MD and DO schools.
I am a nontrad applicant with well rounded extracurriculars (see below) and I also completed a post bacc program.
Could anyone tell me what my chances are applying this cycle to both MD and DO schools? and what schools would you recommend?
GPA 3.7
sGPA: 3.59
MCAT: 502 (125/124/126/127)
State: Pennsylvania
Extracurricular:
3 years of clinical research: 1 first author publication, 1 co-author publication
1 year medically related non profit research coordinator: 2 co-author publications
1 year Medical scribe
1 year Clinic assistant
300+ hours volunteering in an urban city with adolescent and underserved populations
Health Program Educator (conducted 1 on 1 services and group education classes)
6 different shadowing experiences (both MD and DO)
Two summer programs focused on exposing minorities to medicine
Peer Mentoring program
Undergrad teaching assistant
Two scholarships in undergrad
