Want to Study in Germany - I need more info ?

I see that this forum has a lot of great information, i tried to search but i haven't find any information about new students who go to study in Germany.
Does anyone of you have any experiences there?
Is life expensive and what are the requirements to get a student visa?
If anyone can answer me this question i would appreciate it.

but i want to ask about something
how much german do i need to get admission in german school
(not to start studying )
i am currently in level A1 ,,,,,is this enough for getting admission or it is going to be waste of time and money
