Hello to all the frustrated medical school applicants out there! I am really tired of waiting for things. But anyway, I was just curious if anyone out there has interviewed at Washington University this year and what you guys thought of the school and if you guys have any advice for me! Thanks a bunch. 🙂

PS-Is it true that they just worry about your MCAT and GPA more than who you are? And how important is the verbal score? Just looking at the stats of the school can be rather scary.

i interviewed there and really liked the school, their students are the best, no one too nerdy or anything!! i spent the weekend there and some guy and his brother who was visiting took me downtown and to the malls!! the students there were awesome and the pizza party was really fun and the ppl i interviewed with was cool, we all took a car back to the airport together.........and the 4th year that gave a tour (3 ppl to a tour guide!) was really sweet and cute and seemed like the type of doctor that i aspired to be.

i have a 36 mcat and thats prolly the only reason i got an interview cause i dont have research......but it varies! a lot! there is a whole range of scores, but despite the numbers, its the ppl thats cool. oh, and wear comfy shoes cause the tour was damn long!! my shoes were slipping out of my hose so i had to slip toilet paper into front and it hurt like hell!!! and the lunch was good!!! and the dean who talked to us was very frank.........and my interview was alright.....i was bombarded with why i wanted to be a doctor, and to explain some A minuses 😳 . but it went well and the interviewer was cool but i had to fight for more time and rambled on.........

i havent heard anything back yet, teh committee met twice........yikes!! :luck: :luck:

The interview was very basic, reasons for medicine. No ethical scenarios, and a lot of nonmedical topics as well. Just relax, Wustl's not trying to break you.
