Hey Guys, I remember a while back someone posted a link on how to get into WashU, and there was an email address of a current student or someone willing to give advice. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew who that was or where I could get that link, I have an Interview there soon. Thanks

That was a bogus post by some mystery person posing as someone else. Now he is banned from SDN for giving out someone else's private contact info.

When do you interview at WashU? I have one soon too.

Well my sports bone got the best of me and I tried scheduling it around Cardinals Baseball. Hopefully they make the world series!!! I don't know as of yet!

Cool

Oh, in that Case does anyone have advice on this school. I know they interview a ton of people, but I hope to put my game face on for this one!

I keep hearing that they interview tons of applicants. Does anyone know about what percentage of those interviewed are accepted? I have an interview there next month.

Check out U.S. News...that's where all these stats are.

1168 interviewed, 338 accepted, 123 enrolled. 29% post-interview acceptance.

I'm going there next week. I'm happy to have the interview, but unless someone on the adcom falls in love with my app, I think I'm on a fast track to the waitlist. I think my stats just aren't quite good enough.

Are you kidding? you're like a shoo-in for WashU. The interview's supposed to be a breeze--very conversational. But I guess since they interview so many people, it may seem like a lottery.

the past few years, it seems like the enrolled classes have been following an alternating cycle of boring gunners and relaxed, cool people. We're on a gunner year, so the next year's class should be filled with awesome people. Good luck!

I have done 4 interviews at top schools, and WashU was actually my most stressful interview BY FAR. I was quized on current events unrelated to medicine and also on what I would do in certain clinical situations. The atmosphere was very formal, and although I liked my interviewer and felt that I performed well, the interview was certaininly high stress. On the other hand, I think it really depends on who your interviewer is because others who were interviewing on the same day said their interviews weren't quite as challenging.

One thing that is really nice about WashU though is that they don't try to get you to ask them lots of questions. The assistant dean tells you that it's perfectly acceptable to say that you have no questions, and my interviewer limited me to one question. I liked this a lot because the question and answer part of interviews is usually a pointless time when you try to impress your interviewer with your knowledge of the school...

I was shocked to get a Wash U interview . . . I'd love to know how much gpa/mcat are weighed against interview performance. I feel like my grades are a bit low, but hey, if they weren't interested they wouldn't interview me, right? VERY excited about my trip to St. Louis . . . good luck everyone.

My god, why does everyone think that a 3.6+ and a 36+ = too low for WashU? I don't think they are that big of a numbers *****. I got an interview with a 2.9 and 36. So there.
