WCUCOM vs Touro-Nevada

Hello! I am very happy with my cycle results so far and wanted some opinions.

Currently I have a deposit for WCUCOM because it was my top choice out of my early DO acceptances. I just got accepted to Touro Nevada, waitlisted at LECOM Bradenton, and I am waitlisted at NEOMED (MD). I interview for NOVA and ACOM in early February.

I have been raised in Florida all my life so I am hopeful for a choice to stay. The timing for deposits suck. I toured WCUCOM and although I am greatful, it didn’t seem like a great fit for me. The tuition is cheaper and they have more residency placements in Florida. I haven’t been able to tour Touro… does anyone have anything to say about both schools to help make a more informed decision? I have 2 weeks to put a deposit for Touro (and I might have to make a third deposit in the future 😩)

WCU had some problems back with board scores. They’ve fixed this recently but Touro NV would let you avoid risking anything there. The school is all in 1 building if I remember right and their rotations are all around the Vegas area. I’d choose it over Nova and ACOM too. LECOM is obviously closest to home and is cheaper, but the administration is quite strict. Not a lot of positives but those pluses are big for you there.

Neomed’s deposit shouldn’t be much if you get accepted and would go to your tuition, since I’d recommend it over any DO option. Congrats on getting an interview there, I heard they really favor OH residents compared to the bigger schools there.

Would your opinion stay the same if I said I could live with family if I went to NOVA Clearwater campus? It would also save a lot in COL if I got admitted there or LECOM B

That’s always nice, I would say try LECOM with how much you’d save. Still no to any Nova DO program.
