Hey guys, One of my friends is applying to medical school this year and had a question to those who already applied (he was too lazy to register for this site and wait to be able to post)... He's a senior and will be graduating in June with about a 3.45 gpa (MCAT next week). He's had about 2500 hours of community service - some that stem from his being a police officer. About 300 hours were health care related but all were helping the general welfare of the community. Do you think that with an average GPA and a state-school education he'll have a chance at getting accepted (he also has a great personality and will do well in interviews) despite his out of the ordinary extra curriculars and no research experience? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
