My question is what is a good GPA out of 4.0 to maintain in dental school if you plan to specialize, for example in endo. Any stories?

Well,

If you go to a school like UCLA School of Dentistry, there are NO GPAs! Only a nice, friendly, non-competitive Pass/Fail system.

Most schools that use pass/fail systems claim that they dont induce competitiveness among students. However, the students are still "silently" ranked. Go Figure!

I hear that being top 10 or top 15 in your class will definitely help your cause in specializing.
