After waiting patiently all day after 4 interviews I hear nothing. NOTHING! If that is not bad enough I call up my number one school, Buffalo, to find out that I am waitlisted. Now I have no idea where I am on that list but I wish I could find out my chances of getting in off of the waitlist. I am assuming the rest are just rejections/waitlists as well... I guess I screwed up this time...

I wasnt trying to down on anybody, I am just bummed that I probably wont get to go to my top choice and I had a lot of things ridding on that. I know I should be happy to get in anywhere, but I havent gotten in anywhere yet anyway so I think I can sulk a little.

well if it makes you feel any better... i didnt hear from my top choices today either.... BUT many schools send snail mail!!! so hopefully in a couple of days you will have an awesome thursday of friday!!!

i don't think its the same kind of 'pity' for lack of a better word.

Well, if it makes you feel better I interviewed at 7 schools (invited to interview at 11 pre-Dec.), cancelled 4 interviews to try to save some money (plus they do a good job of making you feel like you have a great shot at getting in once you have an interview so I thought I would be in at 2 or 3) and haven't heard anything, but waitlist. Just hoping like crazy that I get off a few of those waitlists. Good luck, I hope we make it.

Submitting the application late isn't always the case. I submitted my application back in June and I still haven't heard anything from the schools I interviewed at.

I got accepted to 0 today.

It is different when you have already dropped 4 grand thinking you would at least be going somewhere to find out that the people who showed interest, weren't really interested. Today has felt like a kick in the groin.

I second this advice. I only got 1 acceptance on Dec 1st and then got several more over the next 2 weeks. Just because Dec 1st wont end with you holding an acceptance doesnt mean you wont get one soon.

Remember this too...Of course it would be ideal to get into Dec 1st, but trust me, the second you walk on campus, there's not a single difference between those who got in on Dec 1st and those that got in in late April or May...once you're in, you're in! So best of luck, and don't lose hope! You don't have to get into every school on the first day! You just need to get into ONE school on ONE day! That day will come!

Call Case, I think they can tell you your status (a lot of people were told they were "on hold", meaning waitlisted?). And you should hear back from NYU by snail mail before the end of the week, and it will probably be good news

Very humbling - especially since I recall how I sometimes compared the schools I interviewed at, as if I would have to make a decision about which school to attend.

But God is good - how comforting it is to know that He has a plan for us.
